They have to give them smoke alarms, co detectors, gun locks, safety car seats, and then after a kid is hurt they put forth a whole slew of laws of which the type of person who would leave a loaded gun accessible to a kid won't obey any of those laws anyway.

They, in effect, punish everyone else except the most irresponsible, immature, or corrupt group.

You are really dumb.

Antigun people use gun accidents, where kids shoot each other, as excuses for more ineffective gun control laws. The type of parent who leaves a loaded gun accessible to kids will do so anyway and give the antis an excuse for more ineffective gun control laws that ultimately affect me (a person who doesn't need laws or safety kits to protect my kid from my gun).

Again, Dummy, the type of parent who needs a safety kit given to him, or a smoke detector given to him by the fire dept, will leave a loaded gun accessible to kids anyway. Laws that prohibit that, or safety kits won't protect those kids or stop their irresponsible parent from leaving a loaded gun accessible to kids anyway.

I have a box of gun locks. The law requires gun sellers to provide a gun lock with every sale.

My point exactly. Tory thinks they’re anti-gun.
