"It's reassuring to see the state keeping a close eye on the roads supporting the natural gas bonanza in the Marcellus Shale region."
It's a bloody miracle is what it is. The state clamping down on industry? Doesn't happen any more.
By the way, how much is the state receiving per acre in this leasing arrangement?$1?$5? Anywhere near the market value of what is being extricated?

Silly Cheasapeke! Don't they know that in order to get favors in PA., they need to keep up their bribe payments to Rendell, just like Comcast.

The facts are, when the roads are rebuilt, they're better than Penn Dot or any township ever thought of doing. The March 1 shutdown was when the frost left . . . flatlanders wouldn't understand that but its ugle here then, gas traffic or no gas traffic. The more recent closure was a chest thumping. Chesapeake had every intention, known to all including Penn Dot, that work would commence this week when the asphalt plants would be opened and would be able to provide product. Just an observer here hoping to find balance in what is being held up as journalism.
