There are 11 comments on the www.wtvq.com story from Mar 31, 2010, titled Jailer Sentenced To Jail. In it, www.wtvq.com reports that:

A jailer in central Kentucky has been sentenced to 90 days in jail, after a jury convicted him on criminal charges following the death of an inmate.

The Bourbon County circuit court jury convicted Tony Horn on two misdemeanor counts of criminal attempt to tamper with physical evidence.

The finding was for lesser charges than Horn had been indicted on: two felony counts of evidence tampering and two counts of official misconduct.

Horn was accused of ordering the destruction of e-mails concerning the death of inmate Daniel Trimble, who committed suicide in February 2008. He will serve his sentence in the Clark County jail.

I knew those charges would end up getting dismissed to petty misdemeanors. A young man with mental problems kills himself on his watch, he does whatever to cover his own ass and just got 90 days. I'm no felon, but I've done twice that amount of time for a non violent misdemeanor. It's a shame he'll be in protective custody over there, cause someone should give him what he deserves.

it is a travisty - he continues to draw a salary, he "can't remember" what he did but he remembered to draw his salary. He is a criminal and the jury let the court system down.

i just don't understand HOW???????? How can you get paid while your in jail??? He was convicted of a crime while being the jailer so how does he still have a job? This is a big problem. Our tax dollars are paying for two jailers no wonder this town is broke its run by idiots. Who decides this??? Who is responsible for this?? Can someone please explain to me how this could be possible??? We need to fire whoever is in charge of this big huge mess...then fire Horne and replace him with someone that knows what they are doing. The whole jail situation is a joke.

Now this guy should be suspended without pay or better yet he needs to be fired. He was convicted of criminal intent to tamper with evidence "a crime". He was charged by a jury. So how can he keep his job at the jail. If he's done this once who's to say he won't do it again. HE IS GETTING PAID WHILE HE IS IN JAIL, HE HAS BEEN GETTING PAID FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS ALONG WITH THE REPLACEMENT JAILER. WHY IS NO ONE ELSE UPSET BY THIS.

After this Jail/Horn mess that has embarrassed the entire city of Paris & Bourbon County we better keep that man thats running that jail out there. When I see that man down town, he is always smiling & friendly to everybody. And the jail is no longer an embarrassment...From everyone I know who works out there and from the ones who have been imprisoned there, everyone agrees it is run in a firm, fair and consistant manner.....

Well??? Well I think that Capoosta has got that jail situation under control & I think Tony had some say in putting him there. anyway, I think he's the man for than regional jail. We don't need anybody else with ideas screwing things up again....
