I think the issue is relatively straight forward. The Longmont City Council struck a pack with the citizens of Longmont for a growth boundary and population projection within that boundary. It was a good pack and should be observed. Unfortunately the population projection is already easing over the projection and now we have The Church annexation of another 313 acres pushing against the plan. There will always one more request. The answer should simply be "No. Let them build it if they wish, but not make it a part of Longmont. Longmont should focus on Longmont's plan, and not be diverted by just one request.

That's right Larry! We don't need no more stinking businesses bring in more tax dollars for us. We need to just raise our property taxes some more and more and keep businesses out of our town!!

Don't worry. They will build it and then if Longmont doesn't annex the land, Weld county will get the taxes and Longmont will be out!
Keep our taxes HIGH. Run business out of our stinking town!!
