JonBenet Ramsey case will get 3rd DA in 12 years

When district attorney candidate Stan Garnett checked his cell phone after a long flight last week, he had dozens of messages asking his opinion about the latest DNA tests in the JonBenet Ramsey case.

The Boulder Colorado police dept. and DA's office have about as much credibility as the Bush administration.

I don't blame the Police. The Boulder Police were stiffled, bullied, and prevented from doing their job by the DA from day one. From not allowing the immediate subpeona of phone records to the ludicrious scene where Patsy's sister removed whatever the Ramsey's requested from the crime scene... the DA is in on a cover up big time.

Could be they were paid off, one of the advantages of affluence; or could be Burke was responsible and his culpability has to be protected. In any event a new DA means another letter from me and other concerned people who haven't forgotten the victim.

I agree with you Jaz, the police were in a bind. And if someone says they were 'targeting' the Ramsey's, they must have forgotten Koby's press conferences where he waved the Constitution at the press and asked "have you ever read the Constitution" and "innocent until proven guilty".

The first detectives on the scene who saw it as JRDI were treated horribly by the department! Arndt was shunned into quitting and Eller was forced out too. There was nothing anti Ramsey at the BPD over all, the Ramsey's got more than any one of us ever would..unless of course we hired a powerful atty for all our family and selves, and that powerful atty had real estate holdings with the DA, or the police chief did charity work with people in our circle, or you happened to bunk with a politician's spouse in college, or something;)

The police did a poor job during the investigation They did not search the house,they did not close it up as a crime scence and friends were allowed to come and go as they please.It was their first murder investigation that year and were not prepared well enought for the investigation.

I can't help but notice from the books and the stories and from people on here posting that one of the first things the the Ramseys did was get an attorney and they were automatically put on the list of trying to hide something and must be guilty. Some BPD were asked about leaking info to the Smutt Spreaders and automatically have an Atty representing them. It is illegal for a Boulder ploice Chief or ranking official to ask an officer to submit to a lie detector test without naming a suspect, ad can't interogate them nor wold the be interogated without the presence of and Atty. So who are the real criminals if we look at things with poor vision like the BORGS.

The BPD did make some initial mistakes but it was the DA's office that "broke their back". Had the DA's office not acquiesced to all the Ramsey's demands as well as thwarting every attempt to subpeona records, etc. this case could have been closed years ago in my opinion.

This low life has had an attorney protecting him and his family since the day after the kid was murdered. They've never completely co-operated with the investigation. You obviously know little about the case, such as that the DA is a woman, or how the Boulder cops had Steve Thomas who had never handled a murder case, who constantly harassed the Ramseys and forced them to get a lawyer ASAP.

The lawyers were hired before Thomas came on the case. Thomas came on the 29th of Dec., attys hired by the 27th.

The cops suspected the Ramseys without a reason from the beginning. As for having a lawyer when did that become illegal? If they hadn`t they have been in federal prison in no time.
