This should help your understanding as to ‘why’ there are ‘real’ concerns regarding Monsanto and their GM seed/crop push around the world. They can hardly be trusted and it is all ‘here-say’ promises with many serious concerns…10years from now nothing will be organic in the conventional sense of seeds/crops…Monsanto will have cross-pollinated all crops as we once knew it since the start of mankind. What new diseases await us is just a matter of time.‘Substantially equivalent’ doesn’t even touch the more dangerous aspect of the loss of bio-diversity and many other major concerns…this is a major problem and the people are going to learn of it in droves and start demanding that companies label their foods GMO-Free ingredients or not buy.
We know too little to make such big moves that pose such devastating realistic/inevitable possibilities.

Contact your congressman at www. opencongress. org and tell them to check more into the dangers of going GE and that we want at the very least labels to include if a product is GE-Free (no GE ingredients at all), currently they will not disclose since Monsanto's commercial scientists say GE foods are 'substantially equivalent'...but there have been no tests on humans and some animals that have eaten GE foods have major issues including death (see video of 'the world according to monsanto' on youtube).

We have MUCH to lose and already Monsanto has 90% of the seeds of the world GE patented, creating terminator seeds so that all farmers have to go to them for repurchase of each crop, and cross pollination will render the world into Monsanto's hands. Defnitely not a Win-Win scenario at any angle. Their claims of more food, cheaper food, greener food, more nutritious and more tastier have not been proven (check out the non-commercial scientits website at www . ucsusa .org )
