And they should stop wasting taxpayer money for all those gold plated shovels the political hacks use to turn over the first dirt at building projects.

It's a start but is only a figurative display, the misguided pork funneled to various nether regions for all sorts of unnecessary projects still continues.

Why do you think that Jack Murtha has held such a lock on his constituents for so long? They will never get rid of a career politician that brings them "stuff" to build unneeded projects. He's also become an out of step feeble moron.

Others put in thehard work. Politicians just lap up the gravy and ply for the vote.

ENOUGH! But you, the voter keep voting most of them back in! Jack (Ass) Murtha is one such offender. The man is older than dirt and has held a lock on his congressional seat since the late 70's!

How refreshing to read of someone who rebels against the "pork barrel" politics. Perhaps we could someday elect Senator Eichelberger to the U.S. Senate where he could join Senator Coburn who brings no "earmarks" back to his state of Oklahoma and his constituency still re-elects him. Unfortunately, this type of action does not bring much reaction from the public. IF this article was about one of the spoiled celebrities it would probably have hundreds of comments. Senator keep up the good work
