Given the condition of the dog, Ms. Grimes ought to be considered a hero. All charges must be dropped and the local humane society should definitely assist the dog, assist Ms. Grimes and also ensure that the horrible people who abused this poor dog are prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

This is complete nonsense.
Take a look at the photos & the video.
I defy anyone to say Doogie the dog just suffered from arthritis !!
Where were the "owners" & why do they care it they were going to euth the dog !!
Just how long were they going to let the dog suffer.
I'm ashamed at how the Hollidaysburg PD treated this woman.

Judge Paula Aigner treated Tammy Grimes worse that DUI drivers in this state.
The bail was EXCESSIVE as PA DUI drivers get released a few hours after arrest with NO bail.

Maybe the dog received "adequate care," in the legal sense, for many years, but by the time Tammy Grimes stepped in, he had been sick, in pain and suffering, for at least several days--and the owners did nothing. They CHOSE to watch him suffer. They CHOSE to increase his suffering by leaving him in the mud and damp, unable to get up even for food or water. Even if his medical ailments were the result of nothing more than old age, the owners decision to prolong and intensify his suffering is abuse. Tammy did the right thing in removing the dog.
The charges against Tammy should be thrown out, and the owners should be prosecuted for abuse.
