neither did I , lots of drama again, its like we havent driven in this crap, 30 degrees outside . sleet and rain equals icy conditions some where so drive for the conditions and accidents wont happen, but that is too much to ask of people to use their brains..

It was extremely slippery in Coopersburg. I was behind a lady that plowed into a stop sign from the top of a hill. The sleet came down around 7:30 and I headed out at 8:30. It was just enough to coat the roads.

Some of the roads still had salt on them from the past snow storms and they were fine. In paches the roads were clean of salt and very slick patches formed quickly. Most people in most places had no trouble but if you had to touch your brakes in an unlucky spot... wahoooooooooooo!

It is not the teachers who decide...it is called because of the kids...the first accident due to weather and the parents will be all over the school...and if they do close or delay due to weather, everyone gets on the schools for always delaying...it is a lose lose situation for the schools.

It was actually pretty slippery in the Upper Saucon area of Bethlehem. On the way to work I go over the hill by Lehigh and that was super slippery both up and down the hill. Once I got by the Steel there, it was fine. It was scary - I wasn't expecting it and didn't see any township trucks the whole way to work. That was 8:00 - 8:30.

Why are people always in a hurry? If you drive at a moderate speed, you will be able to stop on ice, snow, rain and walking peds. that walk in front of you. People never learn. There goes my car insurance up again.

Agreed. I always shake my head at the headline that the sleet/snow/whatever "caused" the crashes. It's the people who don't know how or don't care to drive properly in inclement weather that cause crashes. At any rate - if it IS bad weather, please, everyone take care out there.

You're a joke!

I watch the Philly weather. They're more accurate even though they're 50 miles south of here.

I can tell you the sidewalks in Allentown were slippery but the roads weren't.

I was in Philly very early for a meeting. after dodging people begging for money, it started to lightly rain then it stopped. I was surprised to see this article about sleet/freezing rain. I live in the Ottsville area. it never made it down here ;)
