Cook ends petition bid to challenge county treasurer in November election
The group of potential petition candidates seeking to oust embattled Beaufort County Treasurer Joy Logan in November's general election thinned Thursday when city of Beaufort comptroller Mack Cook bowed out of the race.

I can certainly understand Mack Cook's position as it relates to trying to run a petition campaign and work also. It is a full time Job. Mack had the background and ability to be a good Treasurer. I hope that his supporters will feel that they can now support me with the same passion so that we can return intergrity and common sense to the office of Treasurer.
