Our culture will continue because the people have kept it alive themselves for decades. We will continue to do so.
It is extremely important that people support the businesses of Gullah/Geechees and not simply relegate our existence to that of the "historic past" or to "historic preservation projects." There are a number of on-going activities that people throughout the Gullah/Geechee Nation host and it would be wonderful to have people attend and support them. You can often find such events at the Gullah/Geechee Nation fan page on Facebook or by following the Gullah/Geechee Nation on Twitter.
We have always worked to help people connect to our LIVING culture and are still willing to do so. You can reach us at www.gullahgeechee.net .
