Great! Why cannot Horry Cty take lessons! Give this county a huge federal grant to get this done! Then give them a state funding bonus!

Never happen Cap. Our Chamber of Commerce and the construction, golf course, landscaping & hospitality industries would fight this with a vengence. And it does'nt help that most of our council members own businesses that deal in real estate and development. My disrict rep, Bob Grabowski owns Myrtle Beach lighting and he's getting rich on the houses built by all of the illegals we have here. I'm afraid the Beaufort illegals will just head to Horry and it'll be business as usual.

It is about time. This is not discrimination. There has been other immigrants that have come into this country that became legal and never once did we change signs and phone services into their native tongue. Our systems where set up for our citizens, welfare, medicaid, WIC and social security, not for illegals that are somehow getting these services. This too is contributing to the rise of prices, soon enough if we don't do something it will financially break our nation.

I don't discriminate against Hispanics if they can produce their citizenship "no problem"

You are absolutely right. I passed a work crew this week on Grainger Rd. in Conway. They were in City of Conway trucks, tractors and traffic vests. They were all Hispanic. How many of those do you think were illegals? If our local governments are hiring illegals, what chance do you have of getting anything done about the problem?

Folks, if they look like illegals, talk like illegals, and drunk-drive like illegals, then they are illegals. Why should "we the people" have to pay for their services. Hospitals should send the employers of illegals the bills and make them pay. After all, if the employers used guest worker's programs (H2-B) then they would be responsible for these criminals who are draining our society of resources and killing innocent children by their habitual drunken driving!
