Island dogs may get their day

The town of Hilton Head Island plans to lobby the S.C. General Assembly to change a state law that seems to prevent the town from making its own decision about whether dogs should be leashed while on the beach.

As a member of the tourist class that frequents HHI no less than 10X annually expressly for the off-leash policies, a change would definitely redirect me and my tourist dollars to a different destination, and I am aware of others that share my view.
