Isn't this the second church this has happened too in Bartow in recent years? Seems like it happened at Trinity Methodist, too. The Church is full of sinners, for we are all one of those. Christians are not perfect, just forgiven. I pray that whatever is bothering these *thieves,* will be revealed, and that healing and restoration will begin right away.

The headline of this post is stupid. What were they going to say? Something like: "We weren't surprised, we thought people from within the congregation would start robbing us blind...."

Let's not forget that we all have things in our lives to ask forgiveness for. Maybe we didn't rob a church, but who hasn't been guilty of injuring another soul deeply. To me, sins of the spirit are much worse than sins of the flesh.

Punishment is definitely necessary, but should be of such that it rehabilitates. I know nothing of the incident except what I read in the paper, however, these sound like young people. I can only imagine how the families are hurting. I think we should all take a moment and pray, not only for the ones who did this crime, but also for their extended families.

How would you feel if this was your son?

more like your momma... interesting the way you keep taps on me fruit boy... and yes Christians in my book are lying cheating opportunists.
Never do business with a company that displays the fish...you get screwed for sure, and the whole while they will be smiling that dead pan stare right through you.
And your momma ...well i won't be as nasty as you, bring peoples parents into your good christian dialogue...go find that mirror dick face...I know who you are...LOSER

Yankee Dude, with your beliefs, you must live a life full of suspicions, with little trust in anyone. I am a Christian, but I do not push my beliefs on anyone. My faith and beliefs keep me balanced, grounded and happy to know where I am going once I leave this earth. I very seldom speak of these to anyone...unless asked.

I give people the benefit of the doubt and look for good in anyone I meet. You usually find what you are looking for.

I do not write any of this to annoy nor disparage you nor your beliefs. Just had to say...all Christians like all people, usually have something worthwhile inside them.

They weren't that young. mid twenties to early 30's. hardly teenagers. I am fortunate that I don't have to answer that hypothetical about it being my child. My children made some mistakes but not nearly of that magnitude. They did break curfew on occassion though and dearly paid for it. Further, stealing from a church is not any worse than stealing from anyboldy else. May not be nearly as bad as God forgives quicker than most earthly beings I know.

As far as Christians doing it..that's neither here nor there as Christians are just people. I think you get a certain backlash because some Christians come across as holier-than-thou.
