Rogers has been arrested by Deputies with the Bartow County Sheriff's Office and charged with various violations under the Family Violence Act. Alcohol is believed to have played a major factor in his behavior and if he is terminated from employment, it will be the second time he has been fired for alcohol-related charges. Under a former sheriff, Don Thurman, Rogers was charged with DUI and terminated from his employment. When Sheriff Clark Millsap was elected, he rehired Rogers and subsequently promoted him to Sgt, and then Lt.
