Maybe now we will get the police to patrol Bowman Mill Road more...... It is a shame that someone had to get killed,,,,,but how many more people are going to have to die before they do something about the speed limit on Bowman Mill Road, plus the tractor trailors that use Bowman Mill Road with a sign on both ends NO TRUCKS OVER 6 WHEELS, the cars passing each other all the time, and accidents constantly on each end of Bowman Mill, and most of the accidents are fatal accidents or critical injuries. The only time police are seen on Bowman Mill is when their lights are flashing because they were called here, they never patrol here, believe me, I know, I live here.....

I agree with Bowman Mill Rd Resident, I also live on Bowman Mill Road, and if you do call the law, by the time the leave Downtown Winder, they do not get here in time to catch them....and yes, why is the speed limit 50mph when all other side streets in Winder are 45 or less, and there is not one but two families that I know of who live on Bowman Mill who have handicapped children in wheelchairs, and three new subdivisions with at least 25 houses in each with school buses in and out all the time, I would also like to see the answer to why is the speed limit 50 and why are tractor trailers allowed to use this road when it is clearly marked no trucks over 6 wheels ??????

I think the local tv channels need to come visit Bowman Mill Road, and sit for awhile and show the public why might be the cause of all the accidents at both ends of Bowman Mill, that way they can be the eyes for the police and show them the tractor trailors using Bowman Mill, and show them the cars passing each other all the time, and show the curve in the road where cars keep going off the road and hitting the same tree, there is a lot of money to be made right here on Bowman Mill rd, but they are too busy in town, I guess the people on Bowman Mill or the people who use it are not as important as the people in town.
