Trash on our Highways

[New to Georgia]

I have been picking up the trash in my neighborhood but our highways are littered to the hilt and I cannot pick up all of Georgia.I cannot understand why Georgians throw everything out of their vehicles. You have one of the most beautiful States in the lower 48.
Instead of punishing these students that were caught with the marijuana maybe we could give them large trash bags and clean up Barrow county. You could start up by my house on Pleasant hill church rd and then start on jackson trail just off 319. Its a disgrace.

I couldn't agree more! It's embarrassing to bring friends and family to our new home and pass all the trash along the highway. It's such a disgrace that people have no respect for the beauty here!

We live in Cherokee county and there's so much trash along 575 and 75. In other states, they use inmates from minimum security lockups to clean up the roads. Something has to be done here or we'll soon look like we're living in one big giant landfill.

I couldn't agree more. Driving i have noticed the trash on the sides of the roads & wonder why Barrow does nothing about it. i would like to see my tax $$ put to good use. put those who are in our jails to work. if i was homleless i have always said i would go to jail to have a free place to live - no work, free food, tv warm place to sleep. Barrow needs a good clean up. it is looking more & more trashy. building after buildings packed side by side.

I have been saying the same thing for the last year about putting our tax $$ to good use & put those in jail to work. I have always said too if I were to become homeless I would do something to get in jail - free food, tv, warm place to sleep etc. Also building a building after building all cluttered up adds to making Winder trashy. We need someone in office that wants to make a difference to Barrow.
