Would not recommend setting up as a vendor!
Charges $750.00 for commerical and other vendors
Selling the same merchandise for $140.00
Also advertising 80000 people, will only 5000 comes
Please do some research before attending this festal

All of these events gouge the attendees. The Shrimp Festival is about as bad as they get. Once people stop coming--which they are now starting to do, the organizers and the vendors will either start reducing their prices or they will be waisting their time putting them on. Don't these people realize that we are in hard times and are unwilling to pay $10 for a plate of noodles with a couple of shrimp on top or $8 for a plate of lettuce with a teaspoon of Blew Cheese dressing on top?

Totally agree with Donna. This festival is way overrated. Most of the commerical vendors was mis informed by the committee. All of the vendors were told that over 80,000 people attend this show annually. We talked with several locals and there were never 80,000 attend this event. Even before the oil crisis and the economy. Only about 5,000 to 10,000 people attend this show. I totally understand that the committee is trying to build this festival up, but not at the expense of the commerical vendors. All I ask is for some honesty. I do not recommend this show for any commerical vendors. There were several arts and craft vendors selling the same items and paying only $150.00. Thanks for looking.
