I guess the extra 1% Sales Tax that us citizens have been paying to additionally support the school system for almost 3-years is still not enough. Now Baldwin County is trying to make it permanent with another referendum and Foley wants to spend an additional $50,000. When will this ever end? Come on--Mayor--Just say NO for once to the greedy school system. Let them do some cutting for a change along with the tax payers.

People need to wake up an realize that public education costs money. More kids each year get free lunch. More kids are considered special ed. because of behavior because they get to discipline at home. I have seen parents expect everything to be done for their child including medical care, food, and therapy. Where is the money supposed to come from? It should come from parents, but so many "work" the system to get everything they can for free. I am sorry, but when your kid goes to school in name brand clothes, and you are driving a new car, it seems odd that you truly need free lunch. An addition $50,000 is nothing compared to the number of children in Foley schools. You might consider doing some research before speaking out.

This is a quote from the "Foundation" on what this Money will do for us, "The Foundation is comprised of three components: education enrichment, leadership development and community betterment."
And just how is this going to happen what is the plan ? This is not accomplished in the length of a School yr., you don't believe this is going to happen on this amount of money that will be wasted, for misc. articles. Learn to live with in a budget,I am sure there are plenty of cuts that can be made of unnecessary items that would total this amount of money,no more money for education until we the Parents see better results than what is seen of our Children at this time.
