Autauga County coroner's trial begins Aug. 25

PRATTVILLE --Autauga County's coroner and former jail warden accused of improperly spending almost $28,000 of taxpayer money will go on trial Aug.

I will be praying for Mr. Browns family. This all a setup to keep him from running for sherriff. Mr. Brown is a very good man who is being railroaded like so maney good people in this county. Thank god this case is not being heard by the Autauga county Judges.

Wow, do you have it all wrong. How about his poor ex wife. If you need a refresher check the police report. Take a look at the total picture.

Don't wear blinders. Thank God that such a man will pay for his crimes against his family and the county.

Why do you think he has started paying the money back? Open your eyes. I may feel sorry for some of his family.... but come on that does not give him a pass on what he did.

Just wanted to inform the public that the sob story that was so neatly published in the Progress was a sob story to gain sympathy from the public.
The statement that Billy Brown made in the Prattville Progress is misleading. He does cut grass for a living. But he forgot to tell the public that he has used the county coroner's truck to do some of his personal business. He was seen using it when he was cutting grass and he used it to transport a family member on personal business. Billy Brown also stated he was living in a travel trailer. The travel trailer is parked behind his doublewide trailer. He also lives with his on again off again girlfriend (he may still be engaged) in a lake home that he claims that they bought together. So don't let the smoke screen fool you!
The attorney should look at his past financial records. Such as bankruptcy. That is a motive.
The accounts that are being requested are not accounts that Billy Brown had access to. So there is no relevance in why they should be part of his court case. He is just trying more delay the court case.
Hopefully they will be able to complete the case. Guilty!! Pay the money back to the county.

you should get your information straight before you judge others. Mr. Brown and his family never par took in anything, and if he is on trial, why don't you take a closer look at the Sherriff and his record, hiding records on money spent on feeding the prisoners, and putting it in his own personal account, come on, who is stealing from who?

There was an article, and i think posts on this. What the Sheriff (no matter how corrupt he is) oes with the left over meal money is his choosing and completely legal, although unethical in my book. I haven't seen anything on this in a little bit, is this case still pending or has it been swept under the rug ?

I believe that there is so much more in this case, than what any of us are being told...I believe in Billy Brown. He has a good family, good parents, and I also know the sheriff. NO COMMENT, HERBIE...I agree with Michelle, on a lot of issues she has mentioned above.

Billy is my next door neighborand h is a good man known him almost my whole life. and yes millbrook is hard up for police officers hell they hired ron davis and efore people start saying things about things they dont know they need to find out like billy won his case in court an herbie apealed it so that is the only reason he has court again and i dont blame him i have delt with prattvile and the ounty on mystuff with ron davis nd they will railroad you are in my case try and the paper witesit up the way the mayor and chief want them toojust read my story thatis not whathappened and i won in city court and setteld out of federalcourt. you will all be suprised when its over and billy will deserve an apoligy he is an honest man ande his exwife well yall have that all wrong too but thats billy and kellys businss and leave his kids out of it would you want someone to talk about your kids because someone thought you did wrong and you didnt and attack his kids thts real adultisnt it
