To actually beat someone to death is cold blooded murder, He could have stopped at any time but he chose to punch a man till he was dead. Sorry, life in prison and no good time. His victim ain't coming back to life why should he come back to civilization.

Unless this guy is a highly trained martial arts fighter, with the right lawyer, he will walk, however with a public defender, he will go to prison.
There is such a thing as mutual combat, and it can always end in severe injury, or death.

i don't think he meant to kill him or he would have that night. it very easily could have been the other way around. case in point, it takes two to fight. the other man did not try to get away. hope this guy gets a really good lawyer. he wasn't attacking a poor old lady, or a kid. this is my opinion.
