The only drawback that I see to this contest is not knowing how long it will take to reach 3,000 entries.

As far as I can tell, they have received less that 1,000 so far.

I fell in love with this farm as a place to operate my horse rescue. I need more room than what I have for all the horses that need my help and a forever home.

I thought this is a great idea, so much that I wrote my essay, sent in a picture of my six children and hope to be the new owners.
On top of that my husband and I decided to have a contest for out home as well. With the economy being so bad and people not being able to afford a mortgage for 30yrs we figured WHY NOT give another person the opportunity to own our home out-right. The only differance is our contest only costs $50 and we dont need as many people to enter. Plus if we dont get the quota everyone will receive a refund.

Why are they not letting the people know how many entries they have? This should be updated on their website or something...this is frustrating! Advertise more to get other people involved, let us know more info at least MONTHLY! How 'bout it?

I believe this is a legitimate operation, according to the Ohio Attorney General's Office. I don't know why there are no updates. Maybe there are rules governing this kind of thing. It's just very frustrating to not know how the contest is proceeding. I am waiting like everyone else and checking regularly.
