Its funny that the reporter falls to mention that the Homeowner was Lenny Minns good friend of many years..Does'nt anyone call the police anymore....No one has the right to take someones life except GOD!!!!!!
Why would anyone need to shot someone twice with a 12 gauge shot gun? Did he want to make sure Lenny was dead? I hope he burns in hell for talking Little Lenny's daddy from him !!!!!!!

One of the shots was to his face!!!!!! Lenny is my little cousin.
There is no good reason for one of your best friends to shot you twice with a 12 gauge shot gun. Travis I hope this haunts you for the rest of your life....I pray you go to prision for your actions!!!

Terrible, but, it was rather stupid to go beating on someone's door and refusing to leave. I even saw one report where he tried to force his way in the guy's home. One must remember, our home is our last place of retreat. Sorry, but if I was on a grand jury, with the facts I know now, I would not indict the man. Was there in fact a woman involved?

How would you know that? Lenny wasn't alive to tell you that he didn't enter home. If you knew the FACTS before shooting off your mouth, you would know that Lenny did in fact enter the House. The blast from gun sent him reeling onto front porch. He had been at home earlier with a knife and threatened roomate looking for Travis. If you knew Lenny so well, I guess you knew he was a wife beater? And was losing other friends over the years, because he was a psycho!!! You would answer your front door if he'd been telling you for months he was gonna kill you and already pulled a gun on you once before.

Poor Tammy, I feel for you and the grief you are feeling. But you really have NO IDEA what kind of person your little cousing really was. This probably will haunt Travis for the rest of his life, if you only knew the TRUTH of the situation you would understand he was protecting himself and truly believed it was him or Lenny. Sorry it had to be your little cousin...But Travis is a good man.And was in the right.

You're absolutely mistaken in your premise that no one has the right to take a life except GOD. Texans have every right, under law, to protect their property, home, and themselves (even if they are not at home but are in their automobile or at work.) And humans have a God given right to protect themselves and their families.

As for your condemning the shooter to hell for the action he took, Tami, you don't have that power. I pray that you never face an attacker. If you do, and call the police, they will, more than likely, get there in time to write up an incident report and identify your remains.

Another point that always strikes me when people say, "Call the police and wait." Any police officer who might come to my home to 'protect' me is someone's son, father, spouse, or sibling. Are you saying that you would feel okay risking their life to protect your life? That's selfish on your part. I can shoot an intruder and avoid putting someone else's life 'on the line' to protect me.

Lenny was in the house going at Travis. That was obvious and wasn't questioned by anyone at the scene. He was told to leave more than once. It was dark, and he and the roommate were in fear of their lives from months of death threats, also a knife held to the roommate hours earlier. The source of his anger can only be pondered. Nobody wanted this to happen. My condolences to the families.

Truth how in hell do you know all this?? Did you hear it?

The Sinton DA needs to really investigate it. I have heard from a pretty reliable source- that Travis invited Lenny supposedly so they could talk- what actually happened once in there I don't claim to know- but I guess you do because you read the paper!

No, I didn't hear it, Steve. I didn't read the stupid papers for days after it happened either. But you need to check your sources if you think Lenny would go talk with anyone. Did you know him? Anybody who knows Lenny wouldn't invite him over when he's crazy mad. And in the early morning hours? He didn't "talk" with anyone he had irrational problems with. He was begged to stay away, and the cops were called to keep him away. He was begged again after the police visit to calm down and stay away.

I've given the DA my info when I ran into him last week so we will see what happens.

I don't know what happened. I would think only those that were present do, minus one. I do know that if I had been fighting with someone for two years, I would never meet them at their house to talk it out.

Slic they were also off and on best friends.., does that change your opinion? Sometimes best friends do try to talk when they are having a dispute.

Steve...what good is your report to the da sounds like heresay. Linney was reported to the police hours before incident. He was threatening roommate with a knife to his stomach and told numerous people including Travis on voice mail his intention on killing him. Travis and Lenny have not been fighting for two years...Lenny has been harassing the crap out of Travis. Travis was ready to leave a successful business just to get the hell away from him. Is this affecting Travis...yes. Did he have a choice ....no. Will he go to hell...depends on his relationship with God not on this incident.

Insider -fair question!

Hearsay is not admissible in court with certain exceptions - and they may apply here however assuming they can't be admitted they may still be part of an investigation.

Of course I did lead Pat to the the source and emailed them to go talk to him.

Because there is no da in our county - that source may not want to go to sinton as they work 40 hr weeks but we will see.

It sounds like no one wants to take this any futher...My bet is it does not even make it to the grand jury. My only concern is it is going to be hard on family and friends to get some closure with Lenny's death if they don't understand what Lenny did that was so bad that it took his life. But make no mistake God is in every part of our lives that includes when we are brought into this world and when we are taken out of it. This incident was no surprise to God. Maybe now Lenny can have some peace and not be so tormented.

an incident from two years ago....Lenny just could not let it go and became more and more obsessed with revenge.

Steve, I believe I know who your source is...and if hes is not careful he is about to become part of this investagation in a negative way. He is talking a lot of stuff that he knows nothing about...and did some threatening himself before the incident.

LOL No I'm not anyone's brother in law.

This lists me as living in Ingleside but I am in Aransas County - it seems all the posts about Rockport list the posters as being somewhere else.

Look at the thread man gets 50 years for murder- same thing. In that one everyone seemed to be related to the cast involved but once again listed as being in other places.

Maybe Rockport is just a figment of our imaginations!

Topix just lists your ISP server location. Sometimes it is hundreds of miles away.

I have had friendships that have gone bad. If they invited me over to their house to talk, I would be hesitant to put myself in that situation. I would want to meet in a place where there are usually folks around. With the castle law in TX, it would be to easy to set up "justified homicide". Many times our anger clouds our judgment. JMHO
