Toddler Hospitalized with Life-Threatening Injuries After Harwood Crash

Two people, including a 3-year-old girl, suffered life-threatening injuries Monday afternoon when their car crashed into a tree on Sands Road, according to Battalion Chief Steve Thompson of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.

I was the first person on the scene. The toddler's injuries did not appear to be life-threatening at all. Will not go into further details, other than to say the toddler was correctly buckled into a proper child seat, which was correctly secured in the back seat of the vehicle. Advice to anyone who drives: wear your seatbelt, no matter where you are driving or what you are doing. Wear your seatbelt.
