There are plenty of lawyers in congress right now and that is the problem with this country and economy. Louisa County will be better off if the "wanna be" politician Tom Garrett stayed out of politics and public administration. Maybe the first job to cut should be his. That will be a start to reducing expenses and balancing the budget

I've been to the debates & listened to both canidates. Tom Garett may be a lawyer turned prosecutor, but, he is well aware of the limits to which the state government has. He is a strong supporter of the 2nd admendment. He believes in fiscal responsibility, & school vouchers. Bert Dodson may own a business but that alone doesn't qualify him to be a state senator. He doesn't believe in school vouchers.(M Obama attended school on vouchers, as do her children)He has raised taxes numerous times while on the Lynchburg board. In his debates he hasn't shown me the fortitude that we need to keep this state the best in the country. I moved here from Boston several years ago & can tell people first hand what it's like to live under the democrats who believe in big brother government. I.E. Kennedy, Kerry, Barney Frank & their ilk.
