Less than four hours away in Lima, Ohio, police found the remains of 14-year-old Krista Coppler. She went missing in 1999. Coppler's skeleton was found in a crawl space in a home that used to be own by Glen Fryer. Fryer has long been suspected in Coppler's disappearance/death.

In 2002 Fryer was convicted of raping another girl and while this sex offender w as awaiting sentencing, he took his own life.

The state took possession of the home due to unpaid taxes. The home was to be torn down and police were present as the demolition began. When the remains were found, the destruction of the home was halted and the area became a crime scene. This home had been searched previously by authorities using cadaver dogs.

Police have stated they believe Fryer may not have acted alone and there is a possibility other(s) may be involved. The case is now re-opened and classified as a 'homicide'. Coppler's cause of death has not yet been determined but she was identified through dental records.

Stories like this is precisely why we will continue to keep you aware of local sex offenders.

"Lt. Jim Baker said detectives believe Fryer was involved in the death but that there also were other people. Police said other people knew the girl was in the house, and Lima police Maj. Richard Shade said at least two other people lived in the home with Fryer.

Krista Coppler said she doesn't feel the investigation was handled properly in 1999 but that police have since changed policy on runaways."

The cops need to save face so they are going to go after some convenient "suspect" with weak evidence and consequently force a confession out of the person, which will ultimately lead to an expensive trial, followed by a conviction appealed to a higher court and tossed out, or an aquital, either followed by a lawsuit, thence followed by book rights and a movie by the "suspect". LOL, watch and see!
