The U.S. State Department says that Catholic Charities of the Fort Wayne-South Bend Diocese has been approved to resettle as many as 170 refugees here during the fiscal year that began in October.

Jan. 25 2013 David Robinson, the US principal deputy assistant secretary of state in the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration, visited the Mae Lae refugee camp on Friday to announce plans to discontinue the US resettlement program for refugees from Burma within the next 120 days.
