If you or your political representative can't figure out how to get you a free ID, perhaps you aren't smart enough to vote in the first place.

Penn DOT IDs aren't the only acceptable form of photo ID.

How many members of the military are among the number cited above? Many service men and women have drivers licenses in other states but still vote (via absentee ballot) in PA.(Miltary IDs are acceptable)

How many college students without drivers licenses are included in the number cited above?(College issued photo IDs are acceptable)

How many blind, disbaled or elderly with no need for a drivers license are included in the number cited above?(Most, if not all, have some form of acceptable ID or they wouldn't be able to get government benfits)

Liberals hate the idea that illegal votes will not be cast. Real Americans are happy their legitimate votes will not be negated by an illegal vote. Anyone that is truly concerned about voting will have no problem acquiring the proper identification. This is not a problem, it's spin. Libs use the same approach to argue against the Everify law. Disenfranchisement, racial profiling, only looking to make a better life for their family bla bla bla bla bla. Every job they take, every school spot they take and every illegal vote they cast are an affront to our country. We can't penalize our own people to satisfy lawbreakers.

It sure is - it's a government issued photo ID. Actually backed up by a background check.

Once again, shitmo has his head up his ass. Here's what's accepted:

Acceptable identification

A state driver's license, and the alternative PennDOT-issued nondriver photo ID card, are not the only government-issued photo IDs valid for voting purposes. If they contain expiration dates and are current, poll workers should accept:

•U.S. passports.

•Active-duty military personnel and veteran IDs.

•Federal, state, county and municipal government employee IDs.

• IDs for students at accredited, in-state public and private colleges and universities and other higher institutions.

•Resident and employee ID for state-licensed care facilities.

Carry permits: NO

What about Philly ? Almost everyone watching the polls has a weapon of some kind . You almost need to carry if you want to vote.

In that case, the student would either be voting in the state where the school is located, or in PA via absentee ballot.

Can someone please cite ONE example of a person being unable to vote because of the ID requirement?

My daughter is 18 and does not drive. I took her to PENDOT to get a photo ID. She used her passport as proof. The photo was free with a waiver she signed. The hard part was enduring PENDOT. It took about 2 1/2 hours of waiting. The instructions were poor when we went in. We took a ticket that said "photo only" and waited. When her number was called she was told she had to go to the other side where you get your license first. Another ticket and more waiting. Then another ticke (to wait her turn) and more waiting. Then there was the creepy automated voice anouncing the ticket numbers. Sounded like a sci fi movie. It sounded like one of those movies where the computer says "you may now procede to get your microchip". If you can here that in your head. Trust me, it was creepy. I wanted to run from the place. It was a feeling of big brother is watching you. Maybe it's voice conditioning.

I admire your persistence. Now, ask your daughter vote the "bas%%%ds" OUT. Never vote for an incumbent, even at the risk of the Obama syndrome effect.
