In regard to the Orie sisters and the "standards" in that cesspool of lies, sleaze, fraud, drug addiction,** and system of illegal backroom fixes in exchange for under the table bribes that likes to refer to itself as the legal profession, the only thing unusual about the Ories is they got caught and convicted, and rather than getting away wih it, and as most of the crooks in the close to one hundred percent corrupt legal profession almost always do.

(** NOTE: One of the dirty little secrets of the legal profession is that lawyers and judges have far and away the highest rates of alcoholism and drug addiction, and also of suicide, divorce, domestic violence, and delusions of grandeur, of any major profession.)

Of course if the Ories had committed their crimes in California rather than Pennsylvania, the probability they would have been convicted, or even charged, of anything is infinitely small, since: one, the California State Bar, and which pretends to enforce standards for the state's lawyers, and the California Commission on Judicial Performance, and which pretends to enforce standards for the state's judges, actually function far more as old boys clubs to protect crooked lawyers and judges than as true regulatory bodies; and two, in order to be appointed, or remain, as the US Attorney in any of California's districts, the person has to be approved by Dianne Feinstein and then also stay in Feinsteins's good graces.

In fact in some places, and such as California and Oklahoma, honest lawyers who accuse this or that judge of being corrupt are threatened with being disbarred, since the legal profession does not want the general public to to learn: one, how extremely sleazy the legal profession is; and two, that many judges are totally controlled by under the table bribes and/or a local political boss such as Willie Brown.
