I would love to have a taxpayer funded renovation and am in the process of removing my 2-1/2 baths as I write this so as to qualify. By Monday I should be ready! Please bring Italian painted porcelain sinks, granite countertops and some of those heated toilets with the built in ventilation systems, a radiant floor under handmade tile and all Grohe fixtures (polished nickel). I want frameless shower doors and the whirlpool tubs should have that endless waterfall thing, too. Do you install your own Champagne coolers, or do I have to supply those?

Just get back to me in the comments section when you're ready to start - thanks!

They didn't tell us who owns these properties and who stands to benefit from this. Just more under the table stuff.

I can understand the frustration of those who have written posts. I am sure that they each are generous donors to local nonprofits working to alleviate the suffering of their neighbors, and that they each have volunteered their time to organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and AHIP or simply have done work for those in need on their own. Therefore, because they have already given so much of their own time and treasure, they have the right to complain about grants being used to fix up homes for what are probably low-income, rural elderly residents (since these tend to be the folks living in long-time family homes without indoor plumbing).

Oh aren't we clever? And who pays for your gas bill when you pull up to the pump?
