I thought they would recommend low paying, agricultural industries where migrant workers do the work. Great use of taxpayer money. Not!

I guess the county doesn't want technology or communication industries to be here. What a waste.

All the Supes were in suspense until they skipped to the conclusion of the report! Would it be gold-mining, teaching Japanese to seniors, uranium enrichment, training greeters for Wal Mart, or providing studies of optimal economic development in our county?

Or should we play to our current strengths by stepping up the auto-body repair program at CATEC in order to contend with the explosive increase in texting while driving?

Oh, and finance! That consultant has a great sense of humor.

But I thought Boyd said we should be building a Cracker Barrel, with all the high paying jobs that would create?

It censored the name the restaurant. The word it censored starts with "Cr" and ends with "acker." :>)

Such Venom! Guess I struck a nerve. Governments commission studies like this not because they don't think of it themselves but to lend credibility to their own conclusions. Why? To gain support among the electorate. Surprised you didn't know that, seeing as you are so smart.

"Supervisors agreed on a 5-1 vote to allow the Planning Commission to spend the next year reviewing the plan before it comes back to the board in January. Boyd was the lone dissenter."
