What logistics idiot is going to close the roads AT 5:00? Now, they are going to compound the traffic problem by letting everyone who is at work figure out the road is closed at the exact same time..adding detoured maneuvors to standard concert log jam.

Yes, they are closing the roads around Scott Stadium, like they do for UVa football games, which stems the incoming traffic into the area, that do not have parking passes. Outgoing traffic, ie workers, people already in the area, will be able to leave like normal. This works well during UVa football games. Hopefully, it will work well for the U2 concert participants as well. By the way, this is so cool that U2 is playing here in C'ville!

All the lots around the Stadium are closing at 3 pm. So anyone (UVa employee or student) who parks in those lots have to have their car out by then or it will be towed.

And if you look at the parking costs for the concert, the lots close to the stadium are selling for $50 and up

I know -- DUH -- don't they realize most University employees work until 5:00 and then JPA & Emmet are the major routes OUT? I'm leaving early. Try and stop me.

Charlottesville has gridlock on normal days. The concert will be over by the time the traffic gets settled in. Charlottesville's roads are left over from Jefferson's days and are severly outdated.

People used to complain that very few acts came to University Hall in th past...So they built a couple of stadiums in this college town....now people wanna complain about the traffic when a BIG name act comes to town? It's one freakin' day!

I think some of these posters wouldn't be happy in a pie factory....You can leave the area but without a parking lot pass, you can't drive in towards the stadium or by the stadium....Think about it, U2 is bringing some revenue to the area that the beloved Hoos just can't do this year.

An outside concert on a Thursday night? No, my kids don't have school tomorrow and no, I don't have to get up at 5 am for work. What were they thinking? It's 11pm and I can hear this thing inside my house 3 miles away!!!!!
