If the useless police would patrol instead of ambushing workers for speeding tickets, they might prevent more bad things from happening. God forbid they do their job!

<eyeroll>Right - the police could have prevented this </eyeroll>
How about "If the idiot texting driver would put the iPhone down instead of driving like he's on autopilot, he might prevent bad things from happening. God forbid he has to wait a few minutes to respond to a message!"

If useless people like yourself and this driver of this BMW would obey the speed limit. You wouldn't see police running radar now would you ....
Read the state law and their SOP and you will learn traffic enforcement is their job idiot. Now it's your turn get off welfare, obey the law and quit crying when you get caught speeding.....

How fast would a car have to be going to hit a guard rail, cross to the median, and then use the embankment as a ramp to pull an accomplishment that would make the Dukes of Hazzard proud by hitting the TOP of a 18 wheeler trailer while doing half a barrel roll?

That's how fast this guy was going.

These types of accidents happen when peeps don't pay attention to driving. You can drive 150 and still reach point B without broken bones if you pay attention.
I take defensive driving to the next level. I imagine that I am James Bond and that all the cars around me are out to get me waiting to sideswipe or shoot at me any second. So I plan and drive accordingly while sipping my Martini. Also the reason for the evil eye to all passing cars. It's not bcos I am a gangsta.

I was one of the first people on scene and actually held his airway open while controlling his C-spine. He was pretty banged up and I will be surprised if doesn't have permanent brain damage. While speeding was one of the causes, I can tell you that alcohol was also a factor. This guy got really lucky!!! There were a number of medical personnel who were driving by who assisted. Most notably was a flight medic who immediately called in for air evac.

Regardless of how the accident happened, people need to be a little more compassionate. This is a human life we're talking about here, albeit a dumb one for drinking and driving.

If you are that dang great, go to the academy and become a law enforcement officer, put your life on th line everyday and you can become the "star" LE officer. Easy to sit behind your computer and bash the police.

Sorry, but none of my friends or family are stupid enough to drive this fast, or as the Good Samaritan mentions in his from-the-scene account, drink and drive. As for the "victim", I have no sympathy for anyone purposefully being so foolish. Hopefully his testicles were left behind as a hood ornament. Future generations of humanity would be the better for it.

I really just can't feel sympathy for someone who would be acting so dumb. It is unfortunate that it happened but I can't stop wondering if this is the same BMW that goes flying past me like a bat out of hell everyday on I64. I drive 70-75 usually (whatever traffic is doing) which is already above the limit and yet the same BMW passes me and everyone else at the first chance it gets, obviously doing in excess of 100mph with the distance covered in such a short window. Probably not him but it makes me wonder....I didn't see him this morning.

That was in such poor taste. That 10 year old child is dead.
