Thank you, I to just replied to " really ". My uncle could not walk or talk and was writhing in pain. The squad did not know what was going on with him, so just got him to MJH ASAP. He died 6 hours after getting to the hospital. He was septic, a very painful death.
I'm sorry for your loss. Infections like that are hard to watch and difficult to treat.

You are mistakenly thinking that this can be passed on to insurance companies at no cost.
Here's how insurance works. Each year the company looks at the amount their members in each are costs. Then they increase your employer's premium accordingly.
If you introduce billing, your employers bill goes up and either you get a pay cut, lose out on a raise, pay higher premiums, or you employer is forced to employ fewer staff. The cost doesn't disappear - it's simply changed into a tax on health insurance but lets the County avoid saying they had to increase the tax rate by a penny.
However, it gets worse. Adding billing means new costs - admin staff, managers, collection agencies and the like. So the cost we pay actually goes up. Sure it might not be a tax that's going to the county, but we'll still be paying - and paying more - for exactly the same service as is provided today through our tax dollars.
Exactly! Eventually this will contribute to increases in insurance cost. Glad someone else on this board has a true understanding of the impact this will have.

Excuse me, but my uncle WAS in need of emergency care, they didn't know what was going on with him at the time, so they just transported him. He could not talk or walk and was writhing in pain. He died that same day 6 hours after getting to the hospital. His ride was nothing out of your pocket, his insurance paid for it, so keep your stupid remarks to yourself!!!!!! Get a cab yourself!
The quote came from you DA. You're the one that said it was just for transportation, not me. Fool! Look at your own quote.

I did not say it was just for transportation, I said they charged 588.00 to transport him, They did not know what was wrong with him to give him medical attention. Also, his problem came on in the early hours of the morning and progressed quickly. So are you like 11 or 12 years old?? Can't imagine an adult calling somebody they don't even know a fool an DA. Or are you just a mental case?
