It seems the Philadelphia grand jury findings have had far reaching effects. Three of the priests were accused before but "gee, we tried our best but nothing could be substantiated!". With a more threatening environment in which church officials can be arrested, suddenly substantiation seems a lot easier. But this is still the Albany diocese up to its old tricks: give critics a show of action against retired priests so it can sit back and say "look, we did something!" so there might not be so many demands it investigate active priests. Even the timing of the release is a cynical, manipulative traditional political trick: news that might look bad for the one releasing it is always announced late Friday or on the weekend so it will be old news by the time Monday rolls around and reporters get back to work from the weekend. This news will be "old" and therefore not covered as much if it had been released on Monday. Hubbard is truly a politician.

they messed up many kids lives in the past and the diocese knew about it.

Now on to the topix:
It is my sincere belief that there is substantial available evidence to prosicute many dioceses and therefor Bishops under RICO as a criminal conspiracy. Do I want the Roman Catholic Church to close, NO. I want its ass kicked from here to timbuktu and it crippled financially. This chruch perpetrated a cime againts children and they have not been held accountable for it yet they can. I love the mass, but expect justice for children. The church needs tgo be hit hard and its being treated way too well for its crimes.
