I'm sorry, that is NOT Planned Parenthood today. Planned Parenthood provides information on ALL methods, not just abortion, and lets women make choices and control their sexuality, and their lives. Being in control of your sexuality lets you live a better life, and that is what Planned Parenthood attempts to offer today.

Decline in numbers is only due to the fact women in York county can travel to Baltimore and get it done faster and cheaper!

It is indeed easier to go to Baltimore(very few protesters to deal with).I had an abortion. The provider also did an ultrasound. It didn't stop me.It was many years ago and no,I have no regrets,no mental issues due to the procedure,no health problems related to it.I needed to provide for the children I already had. But,I did need to take a hard look at myself and figure out WHY I was in that situation in the first place. To stop the need for abortion,we need to address the reasons women are still having unplanned pregnancies. One piece of advice for those with daughters:if she is getting the love and affection she needs from HER FATHER, she will be less likely to try to find it the wrong way!Give your daughter confidence in herself and a belief that she deserves to be loved.Give her a future to look forward to.

LMAO so abortions are due to the father? I think not! It is due to people being irresponsible and not willing to stop at the convenience store for a pack of condoms. God knows waiting an extra 3 mins is just not in the equation. How exactly does a fathers affection play a role in contraceptives and thinking ahead? Once again someone so quick to place blame on a man!!

Why wouldn't it be the man's fault. He is the one who initiates sex. He is the one who walks away when the woman becomes pregnant. He is the one who does not provide support for the pregnant mom or the newborn babe. I would say it is the man's fault.

You are missing the point,BJS.NOT the baby's Daddy, the woman's.A woman who is raised to feel good about herself,to see herself as having an exciting future ahead,is not going to mess that up with a pregnancy.A Father who teaches his daughter that she is important to him, that she is loved, and that she doesn't need some shiftless slob, that she is better than that,is a good man and a good Father who probably won't have a pregnant, unwed daughter.Unplanned pregnancies go far deeper than using contraceptives.By the way,any man who doesn't wish to father a child needs only to buy and use condoms(as you suggested).Exactly who is it that should be taking those 3 minutes to stop at the convenience store?

Why would anyone even think of getting an abortion these days? NOTHING done by any group, most especially the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, has been preventing abortions! So please quit pattin' yourselves on the back. Even in junior high school (through graduation(?????), students(oh yea?????) with babies are: their kids are baby sat while in school with free meals, medical care and they receive a stipend from THE government for knockin' out as many babies as possible. A way of life for some families. Where else could a junior high school girl earn that sort of money, while her departed so called boyfriend continues sellin' drugs and shootin' brothers? Nice job social agencies!!!!! Yep, you broke ONE trend and started ANOTHER. But this trend looks better in the guys of GOD, correct? What a farce!

Wow I didn't know I was missing the point! I was refering to the womans father not the baby's! Again I say and I'll try and make it more clear this time. The "womans" upbringing has nothing to do with using contraceptives, nor does it leave her clueless as to what pregnancy can bring. They do and always have taught that in school, in fact most schools in certain programs have the girl use one of the real life babys. I missed the part where I place the responsibility of condoms on the woman. I said "people" that implies more than one person not just the woman! Just because she has a loving, caring, tell you every day how important you are father, does not mean she still won't make the same mistake.

First understand who and what I was talking about before offering your hypocritical views! I was talking about the womans father in response to another "poster". You are very one sided if you honestly think the guy is the one that always initiates sex. I believe women come on very strong and in some cases beg for it, and make themselves very easy (just go look in some bars I'm sure you'll see more then a few). Also I have a very big problem with your "he is the one that does not provide support for the newborn baby". You do relize that more and more MOTHERS are abandoning their children, and there are alot of single fathers out there due to the woman walking out right? That on many of occasions the woman does not even tell the man that she is pregnant and just ups and aborts. That on more then a few occasions it is the woman that wants nothing to do with the man and splits. If you want women to be equal then take your share of the blame also. Not every case is the mans fault, although I do agree that it happens way to often that the man splits. That just makes him a dead beat and piece of shit, but that does not give you the right to generalize!

I find your post beyond offensive. How about the fathers who want the child and don't have a say. We have no voice, no rights. We want to raise our child and take custody.
The woman has 100% control of the situtation from beginnng to end. She can say and do whatever she pleases and we men can do nothing.
Unless you have been in our shoes keep your mouth shut.

The women that make the decision that to spread their legs and do the action that produces the fetus that they want so readily want to get rid of is a Sad shame. Yes, Rape, and INCEST does Occur, BUT not all of this is due to that action, most of them are because the fetus could and would become a crawling, walking, crying, talking, wanting to eat, wear clothing person inconveniencing the producer.......
DON'T DO THIS ACTION AND YOU WON'T PRODUCE THE REASON FOR WANTING TO DO SUCH AN ACTION AS "ABORTION".
