HP to buy EDS for about $12.6 billion in cash

Hewlett-Packard Co. has agreed to buy Electronic Data Systems Corp. for about $12.6 billion in cash to build a technology-services company that could challenge IBM .

This is why there is no such thing as loyalty to your company anymore. You're on the chopping block to make sure the stock value goes up. Sorry you can't feed your kids or pay your mortgage anymore.
