China has become the tail that wags the dog. A U.S. company doing 15 million in annual sales domestically can easily reach a sales volume of 45 million in China. The U.S. has nine cities with a population of one million or more, China has 99 cities in this category. The big question for U.S. companies will be what to do if their China sales exceed two to three times their U.S. sales volume. Do they now focus on China as becoming their main branch of business and their U.S. operations will just become a satelite operation?
