old french recipe

Grilled Rats Bordeaux Style (Entrecote la bordelaise)
Alcoholic rats inhabiting wine cellars are skinned and eviscerated, brushed with a thick sauce of olive oil and crushed shallots, and grilled over a fire of broken wine barrels.

Think I'll stick to the calamari.

I'm sorry the recipe i gave earlier was an old one.

heres one i tried in cam rahn bay but only once

suggestion
if you are served an unknown meat
don't ask what it is till you finish eating.

4 mature rats or 8 small rats

10-15 garlic cloves, crushed

2 tbs. salt

1/2 tsp. pepper roof rats, roof rats, roof rats roof rats, roof rats, roof rats roof rats, roof rats, roof rats

Skin and gut the rats, removing the head and toes. Mix garlic, salt, and pepper into a paste, spread on the meat, Fry for about 6-7 minutes, until crispy and yellow in color. Serve with sticky rice, sweet-sour sauce, fish sauce, or a hot chili paste,

Speaking of fast food places, I got colitis TWICE from eating at a Burger King. Duh. There was no 3rd time.

Of ALL the fast food places, McDonalds has the best prices, best service and I never got sick at at a Mac&Dons.

Any Mexican food place sucks anyway.

Heh. I wonder how the TV guys just happened to look inside a joint and see rats.

This whole thing sounds phony and staged to me.

1-They got tipped off.
2-Yes, somebody had the keys.
3-What you saw on tv is edited. They filmed a lot more.
4-NY is full of rats. Not surprising to anybody.

you could use soy sauce but for the best flavor
go to a vietnamese market and buy some Nuoc Mam and add to it

sugar
lime or lemon juice 1 large clove garlic, 1 or 2 hot chilies.

Nuoc Mam is fish sauce

With apologies to Skipper (and Terry Pratchet).

All those fancy recipes are fine, but a barbecued ratonnastick with lots of ketchup is hard to beat. Of course Rat Surprise is wonderful if the rats are plump and fresh and it helps to leave the whiskers on.

I've heard there are establishments now tryning to pass off prepared meats carved into rat shapes in their rat surprise. Shameful!
