I say ban parents who don't know how to say no to their kids.

I don't think CrackerJacks are very healthy either. They have toys too.

And why does my dentist give out free lollipops to the kids?

Let's eradicate them.

Why don't we ban "Obozo Songs of Praise" in public schools?

They make you fat, rot your teeth and corrode what's left of your already tiny brain.

Mmmmm mmmmm mmmmmm!

Are you kidding? Somebody tell this Bloated Politician to get some laxatives and cure his ills, he's obviously full of $hit! Who in the heck does that fat a$$ think he is? This is not a dictatorship yet--Why not send the Councilman to the Biggest Loser as a contestant..Big Brother syndrome is out the door--Americans dont like being told what to do --If Mcdonalds or any other such establishment would yield to such bogus pressure--I'd boycott the establishment permanently--As for Fat Boy--Let's ee what we can do for him when re-election time comes up--It's not for the Toys or any other such items--it is for the audacity that some Bloated A$$ thinks he's going to tell Americans what should and should not be given to their children--Get a life you Fat piece of $hit! And I advise you--Come election time--I will do all in my power to see that you are ripped from your office and then we'll watch you and your family running for the 99 cent menu...

No, better yet --Ban idiots like you who steer the subject off the track of discussion...This was about some Bloated Politician thinking that he's going to make policy as to what we will have available to our children when we take them out for a meal..This guy needs to get back to basics..That being the basic rule that no person should be under the thumb of any other person--he as well as you need to get a life and stay off these blogs if you have'nt got some intelligent input--it becomes a bit messy having to continually step around your stupidity much like dog crap in the local park..Either participate with a brain or stay out of the discussion..this issue is not going to go away --It has now become a mission to see this bloated politician either offer a public apology or get out of office..It's the principal that this idiot gives himself way too much importance in this world and he requires a humbling experience..I cant believe the newspapers have'nt run with the story of this bloat..

Yes they should go ahead with the ban.
Would it eliminate the obesity problem? No, but I do think it would help.

Let's face it, most parents think that if it comes with a toy or comes in a package with Dora Explorer on the cover that it's ok for children. Unhealthy fast food shouldnt come with toys...Hopefully it will make uneducated parents make better choices.

So would it be ok if cigarette companies started selling toys with their product?

Thank you for showing us exactly how big a dope you really are. You have shown us that you have no idea what you're talking about. If you read my point (which you probably didn't) you would have seen that I was simply saying that it should be the parents who decide if they want to take their kids to Mcdonalds. Please stay off the blogs, you're too stupid.

Are you paying attention Genius? My rant was in response to the Councilmans proposal--I had no interest in what you had to say on the subject--my only interest was that some politician considers himself important enough so as to suggest that the toys be banned from the meals all together--Again--that had nothing to do with you or what you had to say --and as far as the other idiot who attempts to draw a comparison to toys and cigarettes? Are you kidding me ? You're obviously both Morons and in the end result it is the sheep who are led to slaughter.America was built on the backs of folks who stood up for their rights --Mark my words, come election time I will be out there supporting the competition whole heartedly and idiots like you will be standing around saying "the choice should be with the parents" Dummy !! He proposed taking away the right of any parent to make such a choice by pushing to ban the toys..If you're looking for a Jerk, walk no further than the nearest mirror !

What are you talking about?

What a completely stupid argument, that is the best you can do?

First of all, the toy doesn't entice the kid to buy the meal, most of the time it is tied into a movie and is more to get the kid to go see the MOVIE!
Second, the kid is going to want the junk food even without the toy.
Third, the kid doesn't take themselves to the fast food place.
Fourth, the kid doesn't pay for it.

It is all about the parents and this won't change their behavior, just more stupid Government intervention from the big nanny staters.
