Newt is clearly the most qualified candidate to run for President. I can't wait for Newt to debate the empty suit community organizer.

I like Newt. He actually knows something about governance and can drive a deal (he's one of the people who dragged Clinton into a balanced budget). He's not a media star, but that has more to do with the fact that the MSM doesn't like conservatives than anything else.

I'd certainly vote for him over Obama, but I'd vote for just about anyone over Obama at this point.

Where's his birth certificate? Like to see his divorce papers, too, while he's at it. Clown.

Left wing stooges already pouting about birth certificates? It's way too early for that. The proven technique is to refuse to show it at first, spend millions on teams of lawyers to keep it sealed until the birth certificate can be photo shopped up to par, then release it. Why stop at divorce papers? Let's see the parent's marriage license or any adoption to a foreign national papers? Medical records maybe?

He should have to authenticate himself in order to hold the highest office in the land. So should *all other candidates*.

Why would we expect any less?

His head is too large and square to be president. That head of his must be about 50 lbs or more.

He didn't have a trial; he was accused of an ethics violation by a committee and he resigned. Charlie Rangel, OTOH..

What do you think of Newt's opinion on Republican Medicare restructuring?

He cut a deal. He could release transcripts of the proceedings that led him to cut a deal.

Yes, like many before him, he cut a deal - because he was charged with accepting a speaker fee by a local University (Kennesaw State, IIRC) and was subsequently brought up on ethics charges by a House committee. He ultimately refunded the speaker fee, but that wasn't good enough, so he resigned as part of a deal to drop the whole matter. It was retribution for embarrassing the hell out of Bill Clinton by going toe-to-toe with him and forcing him to sign a balanced budget. Irony being as sweet as it is, the Dems now tout that balanced budget every time a political discussion turns to numbers.

If that's all he's ever done, that's good by me. Talk all the trash about his private life you want to; we've trivialized other politicians' dalliances, so by the same standard, Newt gets a free pass there.

His private life of dalliances and divorces are HIS business - hyprocrisy over Clinton's "dalliances" are OUR business.

No free pass for Newt on this one.

Interesting. Clinton's personal life isn't my business; never was. He and the women who accuse him of all manner of offensive behavior can settle that between themselves. I couldn't care less, frankly.
