Oh Sure keep riasing water fees to pad the pocket of the company.
This is worst that raising gas prices. We need water survive.. A gallon of water today should not cost any more than it did ten years ago...

Hey wanker, I hate rate increases as much as the next guy. However, dont just assume its to "pad the pocket of the company". Companies need to pay their bills also, they need to pay their employees, and they need to maintain their equipment so that, in the case of the water company, we have good clean water. While I think they should try as hard as possible to avoid raising rates, it infuriates me when they do, don't just assume it's because of greed. To do so is to be...well...a real wanker.

Name one item that cost the same today as it did 10 years ago, including water! Some folks should really apply for USA TREASURY SECRETARY! In ten (10) years, NO company costs for: maintenance of water lines/replace of 100+ year old lines/purchase of equipment/salary-benefits increases. As we simply open the tap and let the water run freely. Citizens in some countries spend most of their day just looking for water. Yep, we have it really tough!

Kwitcherbitchin and go back to your Cable TV and IPhone. What is more important that pure and clean water? And affordable at that. If you use 3,000 gallons a month that's no more than $30. That's 1 cent per gallon. How many 16.9 oz bottles of water have you paid $1.00 or more for? People who offer the kneejerk outrage at what the necessities of life cost have no problem with spending most of their money on entertainment.

Water is free and its under the ground for the taking. The majority of the households would not even require the services of the York Water company however, they are FORCED to buy their product. I am so glad that its investors are making a killing. God knows thats far more important than people having the right to utilyze one of earths natural elements for FREE, God forbid....

Hope you don't get sick from drinking all that free underground water and all the other free stuff that comes with it like animal droppings, fungus and molds from trees and shrubbery, insect remains, etc. or maybe you think boiling the water removes all the bad stuff....dream on........
