No he's not wrong. Not too long ago approval was going through city council about a well or wells near the junior high on College Blvd. As long as houses, schools, etc. are not within 300 feet they are allowed by city ordinance.

What I can't understand, where were the Lehmers when the fence was put in? I don't imagine it magically appeared over night. When they started work on the fence, why didn't they stop it?

Sandel is the biggest piece of you know what on earth. He is a hypocrite. He tries to make the oil field companies happy, then turns around and trys to do the same for the people complaining about the oil field. He WORKS for an oil field company, yet he bashes them at the same time. I bet Aztec Well is PROUD of that IDIOT! Mary Fischer is right up there with Sandel... Get your heads out of your asses!

the OIL and GAS Companies have pumped more money into San Juan County and NEW MEXICO other than the Liberal Goverment,,,,,main street was paved from old Apache Intersection to Fairgrounds, anything above Apache by the Mormon Church was not there and Broadway was dirt, also the ball field were not there, the Welders of the Gas Companies put thm in for the City of Farmington, Bloomfield was two Gas Stations, two Cafe's and one Grocery store, now all the State can think of is punshing them and the fine's for every little thing after they have changed all the rules to the ruination of the Companies, wait till the employeed are out of work, and the wells are shut in and you are sitting in the cold..........

Sorry city boy, your premise is correct but the facts are a little off. Jason Sandel would have sided with the Gas companies, IF, either of them had an Aztec Well Service rig working. the Sandel family has used their political muscle for many years to keep their rigs in the field. BP (Amoco) is a prime example, they insist they require their contractors to maintain a safety level, but Aztec has had several deaths and multiple injuries. As long as Daddy Sandel was in the legislature Aztec rigs are out for BP. Conoco Phillips is going the same way. Sad but true.

You're wrong.
No....he's actually right. Sandalwood park was built within 150 feet of a well location.
