EXCERPTS
The strong sulfur odor lingered in the air Tuesday morning from the leak in the 16-inch underground pipe.

Conoco Phillips Co. owns the pipeline and a nearby refinery in the suburbs east of San Francisco. The company first reported the 25-foot by 25-foot spill along the pipeline just before 5 p.m. Monday.

MY TAKE
The unknowing many have no idea that underground lines can be shut down and a device called a pig can be pumped through the buried pipe line that will feed back the conditions found in the line. Then fixes are available to repair the line without digging out.

Some might say,“If that is true then WHY NOT?”
The standard answer is found in their tracks. They “BIG OIL” would rather wait and wait then try to cover their tracks with their legions of crooked attorneys who know just how to spin out words in Federal Courts to make matters better for them.

What about the EPA? If the Republicans get their way the EPA will be buried deep in the archives of our failed or failing political scene we live in.
