Trade War Seen Looming as China Rebukes U.S. Support for Solar

Without subsidies, solar power had no chance of achieving the economies of scale necessary to make it affordable when compared to power generated from fossil fuels. All governments knew this and therefore both China and the U.S. provided support to their solar power industries. Instead of a trade war, China and the U.S. should work together to see how more quickly we can make solar power a viable alternative to the burning of fossil fuels for energy. Our planet desperately needs this.
