I bought my daughter a Walmart gift card ($40) for her birthday. I was charged tax on the $40. When the card is used to purchase Walmart merchandise, tax will be add to that purchase as well.

That is double taxing for a $40 sale. That is not right.

No thats not right. You shouldn't be charged tax for the giftcard. The only card that charges you is the reloadable money cards.
