I don't know what kind of scam is going on but I really want some answers. Rya, my 20-year-old daughter is in the Navy and is stationed in Everett, WA. She went in to your Everett Walmart this evening to purchasing a pair of Beats Headphones before leaving for deployment. These headphones are something she had been saving for a couple of months as they cost her $218.35 ($199.95 plus 9.20% sales tax.) She leaves the store with a fellow sailor, stop at a restaurant to eat and when she opens the box she sees that a water bottle has been put in place of the headphones. Rya then immediately returns to the Walmart, they review the security footage and say that the headphones did not come up missing in their store so needed to call Beats directly. Rya then calls the manufacturer and is told it's not on them either to refund or replace the headphones. Finally my daughter goes back to Walmart and asks for further assistance in getting answers and NO ONE is helping her - telling her simply that she can not be refunded. Obviously this is a sign that someone purchased the headphones, opened the package stealing the product out, returning it and no one at the Everett Washington Walmart actually looking in the box before placing it back on the shelf - either that or an employee is running some type of scam. All I know is we need is answers and we need them now. My daughter is serving this country and is getting ready to deploy on her ship at the end of this month and won't be back state side until October.

She needs to call 1-800-WalWart and the regional market manager. I have seen this happen many times. Customers have removed TV's and replaced it with paper, rocks, etc. and returned it too the store for cash. Happens quite often. The people taking in the returns area aren't very smart, or they wouldn't be working at WalDumb to begin with. Plus they are waaaaaaay understaffed like all stores.
The lesson to be learned from this, is not to shop at WalDumb. Their average customer is the bottom of the societal barrel. You are literally taking your life and money in your hands when you shop there. You can't fix stupid.
