This afternoon I called Walmart costumer service regarding my mothers interest rate on her Walmart credit card. I posted this on their Facebook page, My mother is 83 years old and has had a Walmart card since Sam's Club came to Michigan she has NEVER missed a payment, she has NEVER been late with her payments. She owes a little over $3000.00, she pays $200.00 monthly and has an outragous $112.00 minimun monthly payment limit. I asked costumer service if they could help their reply was that "There is nothing they could do." Well Walmart there is something I can do the balance of this card will be transfered to a card that was willing to help my Mom out and your card will meet my ever so sharp scissors and then the trash bin. This is the best part of my story

Right on... They're greedy, heartless and lack compassion or ethics. You're doing your mom a huge favor in getting that separation between she and walmart. Perhaps you can tell, I've recently joined the "Eff walmart" club, myself... ;-)

Good luck

Verlando when I first posted this on there they took it off because I offered others with the same problem some help. Since then the only response I got from Walmart is they we're looking into the matter. Believe me I'm not holding my breath. Thank You for your comment. Let's me know I didn't waste my time.

You can't solve this problem at any walmart store. We don't have anyway we can look up any walmart credit card problem. It mine as well be a diffrent company. They lied. I'm truly sorry for what is happening to you. You have to take it up with 1800walmart.

Good for you Katie - way to take care of your mom. Walmart often pretends that they are so large and complicated that they can't get the customer any answers when they have a problem. What was always amazing to me is when there was a problem that was costing THEM money walmart could use their considerable technology to work and lay their hands upon the problem in moments. If Walmart has their name on the card than yes walmart does have DIRECT input into customer service whether it is a separate company or not - they call it a contract. Believe me if walmart didn't get their cut of that outrageous interest they could scratch that itch instantly. It is simply a question of whether they want to or not. I am proud of you for not taking it from walmart and going somewhere that appreciates your business rather than treating you like walmart. I believe walmart has so many customers that they think of them as specks of dust - just one of millions and millions that don't matter. If more people were like you perhaps walmart could find where they lost their ethics - like you said - don't hold your breaath.

You really don't know what your talking about. It's not complicated, your a jackass that has a problem with walmart. So you belive everything you read on-line from groups that have something against the company. You have a choice on where you shop, my store and the THOUSANDS across America will still make money. In my store, customers come first. If we did something wrong we will make it right. Thats another point I have to make, Every store is run by diffrent people. It's more like subway or mcdonalds in the fact that it's more of a franchise than you people think. Just because I work at walmart It doesn't mean I work at all of them.
