wal-mart money orders

i recieved three money order that were blank and the purpose being to cash them and send them to the sender but there' a problem i dont know where they came from and they are blank . what do i do

i feel like such an idiot! I fell for this stupid scam and didnt even think twice about helping this person. I signed up for eharmony, a dating site and was writing him for 5 months back and forth. I THOUGHT i actually fell in love with this man via email. He was first in England, then went to Nigeria and then said he was coming here in two weeks to see me finally. He told me that he wanted to send me some money to help me out because i have been unemployed now for over 7 months. he sent me these money orders to cash and keep a portion, then wire him the balance of what i didnt use. i went to cash them yesterday and they asked me where i got these. they told me they had to confiscate them all because they were fake. I was SO embarrassed. SO HURT! SO DISTRAUGHT... WHAT A DAMN IDIOT and HOW NAIVE I WAS!
anyway, i dont know how to track this person or what but they send me these money orders through UPS next day air on a Saturday delivery. Is there anyway anyone knows how to look up UPS account numbers? there is one listed and a name KELLIE WEST, SHERATON SAN DIEGO, 1380 HARBOR DRIVE, SAN DIEGO, CA 92101

if anyone can help me bust this a-hole! i would appreciate it!!

I recieved 3 money orders today for $915.35. I thought it was strange so I Called money gram directly and asked them to run the numbers to verify if they were real,obviously they weren't.
One thing I did noticed as I looked at them closer,is where the NUMBER amount was it read $915.35,but where it was spelled out it read "nine hundred NINETEEN dollars and 35 cents. So keep an eye out for things that are hard to spot at first.Glad I caught it before it was too late

I got two money orders for $850.00. Someone contacted me to buy my tv that I advertised in the newspaper. Price for my tv was $150.00. So, the guy sent me several e-mails asking to cash the money orders, take the amount for the TV and send the remaining balance to somebody. I didn't do it; i sent the money orders back to the address on the UPS package and got it back "rejected". I don't know if these are good; but I will find out. I have a friend who is a detective and would like to know about this. Be careful everybody.

Here we are in July of 2008 and I received 3 850.00 walmart money orders today by Fed Ex.... I called money gram and they ran the numbers and they said they are not good. I have filed a complaint with the FTC and also with my local police department. I was told by money gram to contact my local FBI office and I did the Investigator said there is nothing we can do just throw them away. I would never have put them in my account to cash. I also agree with several others these people need to be punished. How did they get our information to begin with? I have already been a victim of Identity theft once and it almost sent me to jail.

I received 5 walmart money orders in the amount of $550 each. I have no idea what they are for, or what to do with them. It's really freaking me out now that I'm reading all of this! If anyone knows how to contact someone to find out if they are fake please let me know, I'm sure they are fake I just need to know where to contact to confirm that!

Is there an agency working on this that if we get something we can forward? maybe so that they can lift finger prints from the money orders? this got to be a federal offense.

i received 8 money orders fromspeedway superamerica money gram international money order for 935.05 is this fake to also received money from flash foods 890.25

I also ran into this SCAM stuff thats going on i do alot of online selling with car parts and such i got a check for a car i was sellin 5,000 dollars took it to wells fargo because that is what the check was from the Signature was not stamped the account number was faded and the Signature that was Stamped was William I Do....i have also done alot of research on this the are from Africa,England,and France.....and i think its crap when people send you stuff like that how you could get arrested or charged from Fraud not knowing what they have sent you after dealing with Legit people all of your ONLINE Acutions and you run into one and you get locked up?
thats just insane to me
our government should be working on being a stop to that stuff instead of worrying about all this other stuff that doesn't matter....

You're not entitled to the money, they're not real anyways, tear them up and go on with your life.

Today I went to Wal-mart to get a refund on a Money Gram money order I bought from Wal-Mart. I needed this refund because I was trying to pay a bill I had paid already (and forgot I paid it.) "We can't take the money order back" the Customer Service Manager said "because it would be a third party transaction. You'll need to take it to a bank." The CSM then went on to rudely tell me, as if I was trying to do something wrong by speaking to a manager in the first place, that, "Connie (the first associate I spoke to) knows what she is doing. SHe is up there every day. That is her job and if she says we can't do it she knows what she is talking about." Basically, then, that would leave me holding the proverbial bag. I've given Wal-Mart and Money Gram a free $15.67. They didn't offer to give me store credit, to give me a number where I could speak to Money Gram directly, they didn't even offer to issue another money order or give me the Wal-Mart district manager's number. When my husband called back (immediately after I hung up with the Customer Service Manager) to get the District Manager's number, they hung up on him once he asked for the store manager.

So my advice to you is if you are going to buy a money order, don't buy it from Wal-Mart. Buy a Western Union instead.

How did you cash them without getting penalized? Wouldn't your bank come after you once they realize they were bogus? I think it's great that you beat them at their own game if all went well!!:)

So what were to happen if you cashed the money orders at a check cashing place and not at your own bank? I just don't know how the check cashing place would trace it back if they gave you cash for the money orders, because most banks will make you deposit the money orders until they clear.

how can we get to the bottom of this .my money orders looked like copies and i took them to walmart were the person said they purchased them and the bottom number didnt read.its not right and fair they shouldnt have machines to make fake money orders .
