We're abdicating our environmental responsibility with respect to recycling and trash disposal by not keeping our hands on it," city Police Commission member Barbara Musselman.

What Dribble but typical of what passes for leadership in the city of Claremont.

If a private company can meet all Federal,State and local requirements and do it for less we should do it. WHY should e pay more because some idiots feel "profit" is a dirty word.

"Of course, the cheapest employees are those who are here illegally. They will be happy not to look too closely ... and Claremont will get a black eye if there's an (illegal immigration) raid."

Gerecke didn't speak on behalf of the Democratic Club of Claremont.
I'll worry about this when you get rid of your gardeners and nannies and house cleaners.
What a bunch of hypocritical A@#h&^%$

If they contract privately it well lessen the bills by a small margin but a couple of years later here comes a increased fee for every thing . Missed can /Late set out return charge 23.00 . They will pay the works less and raise their profits margin for their investors .We talk about good jobs disappearing hear it comes . Who is to blame . Those that what to pay less but make more . City workers get back ground checks . Perhaps they will hire released convicts child molesters to roam your neighbor hoods . They use them to clear out the landscaping in Rancho after a Community facility district raise was voted down . Go Luck to all.
